GALES FERRY, Conn. -- The UMass Dartmouth equestrian team finished second at the University of Rhode Island IHSA Horse Show on Saturday afternoon, as freshman Grace Pulsifer (Northampton, Mass.) led the way by earning reserve high point rider honors with first place performances in both the limit flat and limit fences classes.
Freshman Karrie Cormier (Goffstown, N.H.) was second in her novice class for the Corsairs, who received respective second and third place finishes in the open flat and open fences from sophomore Devon Frasca (Millis, Mass.). Junior Kayleigh Sauyet (Andover, Conn.) posted a third place performance in the intermediate fences and a fifth place finish in the intermediate flat in the competition, while senior Lyndsey Getchell (Dartmouth, Mass.) and junior Elizabeth Sousa (Fall River, Mass.) each placed fourth in the limit flat.
UMass Dartmouth closes out its fall campaign next Saturday at the Assumption IHSA Horse Show.
