A former member of the Salve Regina and UMass Dartmouth men’s basketball programs, Tommy Keyes has remained on with his alma-mater to join the Blue and Gold coaching staff.

The Seahawk-turned-Corsair arrived to North Dartmouth at the beginning of the 2014-15 campaign as a sophomore, seeing action in seven games after making his Tripp Athletic Center debut on Jan. 8, 2015 as part of a 92-81 victory over Little East Conference foe Western Connecticut.

In his junior campaign, the Berkley, Mass. product appeared in all 28 games of the season and got his first career nod to the starting five on Jan. 30, 2016 at Plymouth State. Keyes was a part of the No. 4-seeded UMass Dartmouth squad that clawed its way to the Little East Conference championship - the program's first conference title contest since 2009.

Despite suffering injuries through the latter portion of his collegiate career, Keyes stayed on with the team and assisted where ever possible. His dedication to the program “earned respect from his teammates, which transitioned to being an assistant coach nicely,” said head coach Baptiste.

Keyes holds his Bachelor of Arts in Education from UMass Dartmouth and currently works as a special education teacher in Fall River.
