Women's Soccer Drops 4-0 Non-League Decision At Wellesley

WELLESLEY, Mass. --  Freshman Thea Feldgoise (Brookline, Mass.) scored a pair of goals to lead Wellesley to a 4-0 non-league college women’s soccer victory over UMass Dartmouth Saturday afternoon at the Wellesley Fields Complex.

The host Blue (3-2) used tallies from junior Olivia Postel (Durham, N.C.) and freshman Eliza Roy (Camden, Maine) in the opening 5:03 of play to take control of the contest, and Feldgoise extended that advantage to 3-0 in the 13th minute on a feed from Roy before closing out the scoring with 1:58 remaining in the match to account for the final margin.

Senior Olivia Reckley (Grosse Ile, Mich.) picked up the win in goal with one first half save for Wellesley, which received five second half stops from freshman Kendall Lincoln (San Diego, Calif.).  Freshman Katherine Hubbard (Haverhill, Mass.) recorded seven saves in her first collegiate start in net for the visiting Corsairs (1-2), as the Blue outshot UMass Dartmouth by a 17-9 margin overall (11-6 on goal) and took five of the six corner kicks in the contest.

UMass Dartmouth hosts Clark in a non-league outing on Tuesday evening at Cressy Field beginning at 7:00 pm, while Wellesley welcomes Roger Williams to the Wellesley Fields Complex for a non-league match on Tuesday afternoon that begins at 4:00 pm.
