The Rookie of the Year honor was UMD's second in three years. Kelsey Grossmann was named Rookie of the Year two years ago, when the Corsairs went to the NCAAs.

"I thought the honors were well-deserved," said UMass Dartmouth Head Coach Ralph Perry. "The league was very competitive this year, and our team performed extremely well. I was glad to see Nicole named Rookie of the Year; she moved up several times and played very well when some of our people were out of the lineup. In doubles, our players learned to work together, and did a nice job complementing each other. We have a good group coming back. The future looks bright, and I'm looking for us to have an excellent season next year:"

UMass Dartmouth finished 12-2 and advanced to the LEC championship match.
